What's with those professional maternity pictures?

I didn't do them.. just because you said it perfectly, what happened with the family camera.. I figure I can take some decent pictures of my belly to remember what pregnancy was like there was no need for me to go out and get them done professionally..

I don't judge other parents who do them.. the way I see it is I have a wonderful camera my husband got me for christmas that'll do the job.

I don't even understand all the glamor photos folks get with their kids when they're born, or photos every year. But it is their money, so whatever.

I think that money could be put to better use for the child. Those pics are super expensive and honestly some look trashy. My friends wife got some done and they put her in skin tight jeans and just a denim jacket. No shirt or bra. It was less than tasteful for a pregnant lady that's for sure. Do what you want with your money but when your kids grow up they wont want to see their mom half naked or dressed trashy.
