When you unfriend someone on facebook do they get a notification?

ok so there's this girl on facebook who I don't like because she's very rude and nasty. she friended me on facebook and I hit yes and then I was like o crap i didn't mean to do that! but now i want to unfriend her, but I don't want to be rude at the same time. so when you unfriend someone on facebook, will they get a notification? or will it just unfriend and that will be the end of it?

NOPE...they don't get a notification. They will have no idea that you two are not friends anymore unless they try to look at your profile and then realize you two are no longer friends!

If she's nasty and rude, then you shouldn't be too concerned about her feelings as she doesn't care about anybodys. But no, I don't believe she will get a notification if you unfriend her.

from what i remember they don't get sent a notification when someone unfriend them

someone will get a notification only for something he requested permission, or a post he/she has subscribed for, thus there is no way he/she will be notified for being unfriended.
But if you interract with that person he/she will eventually try to view your profile and see you've unfriended him/her!

I understand why you would want to unfriend this girl. Don't worry, the only way she can find out that you unfriended her is if she looked through her friends list and happened to notice that you were no longer listed in it. I hope everything works out! ^u^
