What would you do if he didn't take the phone with him? Would you go through it? There are alot of misunderstandings that can read into text messages. Often a sign of cheating sadly or something big he's hiding. When a partner starts taking his phone everywhere with him in like places like the toilet so you can't look at it it's usually a sign that he's got something to hide or something on there he doesn't want you to see.
