Connecting with long lost friends.
Certain groups - school groups, sports groups, etc - post info on there
More safety options than MySpace

keep in touch with friends, long distance
all your friends have it
you can set ur profile so thar only you're friends can see it, so it's safe
not many of you're friends keep in touch through email, and use this instead
con: pics on internet, friends can see and use them if they wanted

My parents also won't let me...

Facebook is a way to communicate and share with friends and other people far away. It helps you to connect with friends that have perhaps moved away and it helps you to make new friends.

By the way don't just make one, cos if your parents find out then your in big trouble, and also it shows a huge lack of integrity and breaks trust...

Hope you win!

1)It's a good way to stay connected with family/friends, it's gotten to be alot more convienent than e-mail. My mom and brother/sisters are on Facebook and now that I'm out of the house it's a great way to stay connected. Also helps you find out friends birthdays, phone numbers, etc..

2)Photo storage- It's a great place to archive photos, has all the privacy features and tagging options of Flickr

3)Facebook Chat- A good way to chat with your friends, doesn't have all the functionality of AIM or ICQ but a nice addition to the other reasons.

4)Everybodys doing it- Not just all your friends, but companies, bands, movies, everyone is starting to have a facebook presence. Companies give out great coupons exclusively to facebook fans. You can see exclusive movie trailers.

Its a place where pedos can poke you!

Yeh leave that bit OUT.

Well, i recently started high school, and FB is a way of staying connected with the kids i went to middle school with.

Over the past couple of weeks, ive also found that kids from my elementary school are adding me as a friend now, and its great to catch up!

Also, when im on FB you see peoples FB status'. And i dont know HOW many times someone in my english class has aved me from getting detentions by having "OMG IM STUCK ON THE SHAKESPEARE ESSAY" and i then go: "oh deer. must start essay, THANKS!

I think thats enough reasons Smile
