I currently reside in Washington and the mother is in Mississippi. We were both residing in Houston, TX at the time of conception and birth and she moved to Mississippi about a month after the birth of the child and i subsequently moved to Washington shortly after. I have a child support order in the Mississippi courts and am trying to figure out what my visitation and access will look like and if she will have to help with the travel costs. Also, do i need an attorney to get my visitation established?

Usually parents out of state have little or no custody rights to the child, especially if its across the united states.

Pay the support and forget about it. You'll deal with it when the kids 18. Dont worry, they WILL find you!
