How is your interaction online(social networking)different to how your communicate in person?

For instance do you act or talk differently online , would you share information about your self online which you are unlikely to share in person. How does your language change when you are online? Or would you say certain things (please specify) are more acceptable or less acceptable to do / share online. (specifically talking about social networking sites such as Facebook,twitter etc) thank you
