Am I able to sue Facebook for refusing to remove pictures of my children posted by someone else?
There's a person on Facebook that has pictures they took specifically of my children posted on their Facebook and is claiming to be their mother. I already contacted Facebook telling them to remove them weeks ago and they refuse. This lady is psychotic and local PD won't do anything about it. Can I sue for Facebook not protecting mine and my children's rights and if so who do I contact?

No, you can't. Why are people sue happy these days? It's a load of crap! Just try talking to the person that put the pictures on Facebook, instead of trying to sue over the silliest things.

You can sue for anything. Doesn't mean you'll win, but you can sue. I do think you might have a valid case though. But is SUEING really the answer? It's up to you. But this is America, so we sue. Wink I think you have a valid point, but I don't know if sueing is necessary.

Not such a good idea, facebook has many lawyers since it's a famous website, and many people trial for court for reasons like that many other. The best thing to do is make your son sign a form with his full name and send it to facebook. Then they will probably ban the account.

Doubt it, since it doesn't seem that woman is doing anything illegal. It may be creepy to post pics of someone else's kids on the internet and pretend to be their mother, but it's not against the law (as far as I know). I think your best bet would be to contact the woman directly and ask her to take the pictures down.
