How often should you talk to your boyfriend?

My boyfriend recently said that he doesn't like talking through text and facebook anymore. He's just burnt out on it. /: I don't know what to do. I know he can call but how often? Do you have to talk to your boyfriend everyday or is every other day just fine? Thanks! (:
