How do u stop an open conversation on facebook?

I tried to send the same message to several of my friends on facebook but instead it opened a chat with everyone. how do i delete this so i nor any of my friends have to see it?
it deletes it so i can't see it but not soo my friends can't see it

aah well if you wanted to send the same message to a few friends but you didnt want any of the friends see that you'd sent the message to other people-if that makes sense.. Then you should have written the message to your first friend only, not putting any of the other friends names in then probably copying and pasting that message several times individually....

HOWEVER, if you're just annoyed that the chat box comes up when you're talking on the message then just close it? It isnt that bigger deal, in fact it helps you access it easier..
