Am I the only person on Facebook getting these spam notifications?
Lately, almost everyday now, I've been getting these spam notifications. It says like one of my friends had tagged me in a post, a picture, or has posted on my wall. Then when I click on the notification it goes to a page where it says that the page cannot be displayed, temporarily unavailable, expired, etc...I know it's spam. So, is it happening to everyone or just me?

Nope! It's happening to me too, and it's really annoying.

I'm getting spam of a different kind.

I'll get a message in chat saying "Check who stalks you on facebook" or "verify your account" and then almost immediately after i'm invited to an event of the same name by the same person who wrote it in chat. It's happened about 8 times today whereas its not happened before. These people don't even know that they are doing it.

It's just some scam. Don't worry about it, just don't click on anything and delete stuff that might appear on your wall. I guess Facebook will fix this soon.

Facebook has fantastic security measures in place for spam, but unfortunately nothing is perfect.Remember Facebook is an extremely large network and is due its problems.

And yes, it happens to many people. For now just ignore it. Facebook is finding ways to clear up the mess caused by spammers and viruses.
