When you hide a post from someone on facebook, is it really hidden?

What I mean is, lets say I post something and hide it from my mother. Now lets says my sister commments on that post. Since my mother and my sister are friends can my mother see that she posted on the hidden post? When you hide a post is just the original post hidden or everything related to that post hidden aswell?

I think it would still show on her screen after your sister comments. Why not just test it out with a few friends?
