Can i get Charges wit harrassment if i wrote mean things about someone on twitter but later apologized ?

I wrote mean words about someone on twitter and i know they saw it and then i later tested that person and apologized to them but they are saying they are filing for harassment, can they do that or are thy just trying to scare me?

It depends on what you said and how much you said it. If you said one thing one time, even if they did file harassment charges the judge would probably throw out the case, especially if you apologized.
