What is the difference between a racist and a realist?
I was reading this persons twitter, and he was making really offensive remarks saying "blacks are rapists, drug dealers, what good are they to our country" and also other racial remarks. He claims we don't know how to look after our kids, he claims we are poor and "ghetto" and claims we are ugly and look like monkeys. Prejudiced remarks like that.

To me these comments are racist because he's generalising each member of our race and being very stereotypical. But he said he wasn't racist, he's a realist. What the hell does this mean?
I'm black btw, just in case.

It means that he is a racist and supremacist douche, who shouldn't breathe the same air as the rest of us. Ignore him.

You get idiots like that . What i think he meant by being a realist is his ideals on other people because of colour .
Wouldn't have any time for ignorant people like that........
I know its easy for me to say put it behind you
but don't go thinking we are all like that just because you encountered an idiot ..........

He's trying to be a smart ass.

A realist, I am assuming, is a person who is already checked into reality.
"Keeping things real"
"Just being honest"

Ignore him, he's just some racist douchebag. All races should be treated with equality.
Don't even let him get in your way.

The difference between a racist and a realist is that the racist will UNFAIRLY attack a race for nonexistent offences, while the realist will cite how race may be a factor in an issue.

For instance, a realist would note that MOST serial killers in the USA are white, while a racist would say that ALL serial killers are white, and the only reason they're serial killers is BECAUSE they're white.

It may be racist stereotypes, however, stereotypes are generally based on fact. Clearly there are those who don't follow the specific stereotypes, but the fact is, a good majority of you do. You can say what you want about it. You can even complain as much as you want, but there's only one real way to change peoples opinion on your ethnicity. One of those ways including influencing your own ethnicity to change. You can't deny all of those "racial slurs" you have described as fact. If you can, you're clearly biased and blind to the fact. In which case, you're just as bad.

A realist means a person who likes or has the courage to see things as they are in REALITY.
You cannot criticise a "racist's" views by giving SOME counterexamples. The "racist" thinks terms of AVERAGE behaviour.
