How to promote a local beef & beer event for charity?

I'm trying to think of ways to get the word out about a beef & beer event I'm holding in memory of my sister. I've put it up on my facebook, and some local facebook groups, as well as some local website calendars. What other things can you think of as I'm trying to get a ton of people to attend?

You could always print up fliers. Just go around to local stores like 7-11 or Walgreen's and ask them if you can post it somewhere that everyone'll be able to see... You can also call your local radio station and ask them to broadcast it (if you have one). Just tell them what the event is about and they may or may not broadcast it. You can also call your local TV station and ask them to broadcast it as well. This really all depends on how big of a town you live in. Hope this helps! And good luck with your event!
