Should I put my guy friend as my brother on Facebook?

I have this guy friend who is starting to see his ex again, and just today he was honest with me telling me he likes his ex, when I told him he was giving me mixed signals.. and so we established we're just friends. I feel like putting him as my brother on fb. He only has one brother on his fb - his best mate. Would it be weird to do this? I feel like we are good mates I just don't want him to reject my invitation haha.
