What is the best way to apologize to a person?
I am in high school and made a really dumb mistake. I basically insulted somebody on Facebook. This person I insulted has already forgiven me after about a week, but her best friend is not talking to me. I have no idea what I did to her. She won't respond to me when I talk, and I am continuously apologizing to her. I used to feel really close to this person, and now she won't even talk to me. What should I do?

Saying sorry is enough and it was a big decision and action for you to take. You already did your part, if that person still doesn't accept your apologies, let her be. Give her time and space to accept your apologies and time will come that both of you will be okay.

Be brave and sincere. Apologize face to face, say: I messed up and I hurt people I really never wanted to hurt. It was a stupid mistake and I feel horrible for it. You don't have to say anything now, I just wanted you and (insert name) to know I feel bad about it and I'd really like to make amends. Its been bothering me so much and I never wanted to hurt anyone, especially not you and (insert name).

IF you can't. write a note and send it. but to do it face to face is really the best and most sincere way to do it. a note is the next best thing, but not as personal.

I would find out if I did anything to the friend. If she is just ignoring you because you insulted her friend, then she is just being petty. If the original person has forgiven you and HER friend is still mad, that's the friends problem.

~~You need to ask her to explain why she is so mad. Then you can truly apogolize for whatever it is, and she'll see you mean it. People have to know you are truly sorry for the offense, before they can forgive.~~
