It's pretty much just status updates. It's fun, and you learn a lot. You also know a lot of peoples' opinions, which is pretty nice to hear...sometimes. Smile

I've never joined because I just can't convince myself that my life is that fascinating to anybody but me!

Yea I don't get it either. I joined like 3 months ago and haven't went on it since. I remember the first time I signed on I was starring at the screen thinking, Now what!? I think its very dumb! Facebook is much better!

There's another point that maybe someone didn't tell you about, or maybe you haven't explored! Twitter can be a very handy news source. That's how I use it.

Think of YOUR interests, and try to translate to something like MY case, okay? I'm a web designer, also interested in free speech, internet privacy, the environment, things like that. I found some experts in my field, and some software I use, and some news magazines, all of them with Twitter userids. I "follow" them. I get frequent updates. I get early notice of software updates. I get links to news stories. I can go read the news. I can watch what the experts say.

This is lots of up-to-date info, great for reading at any time of day.

If you go to places like Mr. Tweet or Wefollow, you'll find experts and magazines and news sources in YOUR areas of interest. Follow them. You'll find some great reading through Twitter.
