We don't generally tell stories about our deployments to people who aren't in the military. Stop trying to get him to tell you stories. If he wants you to know, he'll tell you.

hell, when my cousin got back he told us some stories, one of which was painfully sad because he saw his best friend get blown up right in front of him... when he got back he was scared to drive because he was afraid of road side bombs. every loud boom made him jump. once he got put to sleep at the dentist and when he woke up he grabbed his wife and started saying "their coming hurry we need to get out of here"....you can only imagine the hell he went through...

So your saying the Korean war and Vietnam weren't serious? Thats pretty disrespectful to ask someone in the military for some crazy stories..i don't think people like bragging about it.

If he wants to say it, he'll write a book and publish it. There are plenty of those out there if you really want to know...

Actually battles and not small fire fights? (since WW2)

So explain these to me:

Battle on Incheon (Korea)
Battle of Khe Sahn (Vietnam
Battle of Saigon (Vietnam)
Battle of Hue (Vietnam)
Operation Urgent Fury (Grenada)
Nasiriyah (Iraq)
Ramadi (Iraq)
Fallujah (Iraq)
Shok Valley (Afghanistan)

And those are just the well-known ones
