How can an adopted teen find his biological parnts onine?
I have a friend who knows his biological fathers name and state, is there any way he can find out more with this information on the internet? Preferably free?
sorry that was supposed to be online.
It was a closed adoption.

If he's over 18 he can find out more if he had an open adoption. If it was a closed adoption it may be harder to find out, but he can start by talking to his adoptive parents about the agency he was adopted from, then go from there.

If he's under 18 there's really nothing he can do until he becomes age of majority.

Although it's true that he needs to be 18 to get any further information from government/agency sources, he already has a name and state. Therefore, he doesn't need to rely on those sources to attempt to get that information.

There are some decent Internet sources that are free or very, very low cost (under $10.) Sometimes just Googling the person's name and state yields a good result. Zabasearch.com is free. Intelius.com and Knowx.com are low cost. I located my own first father with Knowx and have located a number of other people via Intelius.

Many people, no matter their ages, have Facebook and MySpace pages now. He might also try searching there. Classmates.com is also a good resource. I have located people using it. It's basic membership is free.
