Those scores lead Target to send coupons for baby items to their customers with certain pregnancy scores. One unsuspecting and angry father even stormed into a Target to yell at them for sending his daughter coupons for baby clothes and cribs. Turns out, she was pregnant, and hadn't told her father yet. Awkward. He apologized to Target.

It's time to face the fact that the world will now know more about you than you care to know. Everything you do electronically now goes into a database and they track your gaming preferences, eating preferences, and buying preferences. How can Target be wrong when Facebook has been gathering information on it's subscribers since it's inception? If people don't mind these social medias targeting us for advertising based on our likes, how can Target be negligent for trying to discover the preferences of its customers. Target is just using its marketing strategies to help with advertising just like every other company around the world. If you don't want the stores to know about you, shop with cash... don't be a member of any of their clubs, and don't l iike them on the internet. They can only target you when you do things electronically. You should also avoid giving them your phone number or zip code... because they can track you from that too! These things are not used for security purposes, but for marketing purposes. You shouldn't be required to give a zip code to buy a stick of gum and a coke!
