Is there a way to hide your relationship status on Facebook?

So, I have family on Facebook and I don't want them snooping around on my boyfriends profile.. And I've read ways you can hide it from certain people, but the Facebook layout's different now :/
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Oh and I know how to hide it from the box under my picture, I'm talking about in general! (: You used to be able to have a list of people you could hide things from :/

first of all, you can't hide it from just a few people, you can only hide it from everyone.

go to your profile and go the box under your profile picture and press the little pen on the top right corner and uncheck the box that says relationship status

Login to your Facebook profile.
Hit Edit
Hit Relationships
Choose Select Status
Hit Save Changes
