It's confusing but many times people will call you things depending on how they think it will effect you. So unless you know a person and trust a person a lot, do not put too much meaning on what they say.

OK. this is straight up, so be warned I'm not gonna spare any feelings.

1) your mum's friends and your relatives are going to be biased in your favour. Can you imagine going round to someone's house who's got a daughter and saying "My God, she's hideous!" - thought not.

2) Kids at school very seldom mean what they say. School is one of the most complicated situations ever. this is because there are so many people all bunched together, so what people say is generally a mix of what they think, what they think their friends want to hear, what they want their enemies to hear, and what makes them feel good. Ignore most of what they say, especially if it seems designed to hurt you.

3) Whatever you look like, whatever your shape, there is someone out there who will find you cute and want to be with you. don't lose faith in that, and above all don't let what other people think make you miss that opportunity.
