Is it weird to friend request my ex boyfriend on facebook, after i deleted him when we broke up?

we broke up in july, so i deleted him because i was sick of seeing his status' and everything reminding me of him..but now i am completely over him, its been a few months since we talked, but the last time we did, it was very friend and neutral via text. my question is, is it weird to friend request him on facebook, as a sign shown of wanting to be friends, and that i don't hate him? how do you think he will take this?

If both of you are over it, then, its not weird. But, if your ex is not over it or he is the kind of guy who likes making stories, its better if you don't send him friend request.

You see, his status messages on facebook gave you a signal that he is living his live a whole lot better *without* you. But, you seem to have survived the breakup by deleting him on FB. And by deleting him on FB, you sent him the same signal that you could live without him too.

So, I'd say that since you have gotten over the breakup and are now very happy about it, there's no need to friend request him on Facebook. Also remember that by telling him that you are okay to be friends, you approve his acts of breaking up with you. You wouldn't want that, would you?
