How can I dedicate a bench, a plaque or a brick in New York City?
My mother passed away last year and I'm trying to dedicate something to her, preferably in the Marine Park area in Brooklyn or in Manhattan. I know that you can dedicate a bench in the Central Park for seven thousand dollars but thats too expensive for me and is beyond my reach. Any ideas?

Hi! I am sorry for you loss.
You may want to call 3-1-1. http://www.nyc.gov/311 I'm sure they will point you in the right direction. Are you on Facebook or something similar? See if a group can help you collect to start something. "It's not how she died that made her special, it's how she lived." ~ Jamerican Steve Ads |

do a graffiti mural. find a landlord that will legally allow people to paint the side of their building. hire out a graffit artist to do a mural.
here are examples http://farm1.static.flickr.com/24/410062...4966_m.jpg http://www.globalgraphica.com/main/archi...z_w498.jpg |
