What do you call parents that do not have a home phone service;Nor bother to provide their 16 yr. old one?

That is for they have cell phone, they told you a lie that they were getting you one.Then get you a computer and forget all about it. I am sixteen now and think it is time for me to Make decisions on my on. But i do not know what to do because i have a strict mother. But very desperate to talk to my friends. Especially on snowy days like these.Please help, i am desperate for answers.

You can talk to your friends on Facebook, Myspace, or AIM on your new computer. You can also have live video chats with them if you have a webcam on your computer.

You don't have any phones in your house? And your parents won't give you a phone? Usually parents want their teenage kids to have cellphones so that they can call them to find out where they are at any time.

i would call them parents and call you spoiled and selfish. get a job if you want a cell and be grateful they gave you a computer, thats huge, i would never give a computer to a kid that is going to complain about it. its not your decision for them to buy you something.

The actual phone will cost $50 - $100 and its no more than $30 a month to get yourself basic service. You can get a job, even babysitting 3 nights a month would suffice, and get your own phone! In the meantime you can talk to friends through email, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, MSN, or Myspace on your computer or borrow your parents cell phone.
