Yes it's cheating because he is attracted to them and if an opportunity presented itself he is not the type who would say know I have a girlfriend. There is nothing like text mates emotions are involved in any relationship. I wouldn't buy that he is playing you dumb.

Sounds like he is desperate to make other contacts. I don't think its full blown cheating but definite emotional cheating which is probably worse. Yeah cant say i would be happy if my bf started talking and txting hot girls haha.
I would be asking him what his intentions are, sounds like your questioning yourself if your good enough.
