Should I add my biological half sisters on facebook?
I've never known them,my aunt gave them my facebook and now they've both sent me friends requests,I don't know what to do. There's a third sister but she hates my dad and our family because my dad left their mom and didn't talk to them since they've been young. My mom doesn't want me contacting them,she says they're going to hate me,but it's also because my mom hates their mother...I'm so confused,help?

it's totally up to yourself at this one. because they have added you, i would accept but then i wouldnt want to go against your mom as she's just looking out for you. You dont really know what could happen when they add you as a friend, but i would be careful.

This is only something you can decide. If it were me, I would and then see how it went. You can always "unfriend" them later if things turn for the worse.

Add her but ignore them, but don't let them know your ignoring them, ok? if they talk to you, don't be rude, talk to them back...if you don't wanna talk to them, make up an excuse to go, ok?

Well since they are your family i would say yes but on the case with your mother she is also family so i say talk to your mom and work the whole thing out so you do not have to choose between family.

Your mom may want to protect you from getting hurt. If they are older I am sure that they are responsible enough to handle the situation correctly. They may just want to get to know you. You are 17 and old enough to make decisions for yourself. Once you get to know each other I am sure the third sister may want to get to know you to. Just because the parents are on bad terms does not mean the sibblings need to be. Just be careful of what you post and what information you share with them for a while.

Add them and give them a chance, reassure your mum that you love her and will delete them if they ever become disrespectful.
They probably just want to get to know you so don't worry, good luck. |
