Can my fiance's ex wife take my money if we file seperately in State of IL?

I live in IL and my fiance is divorced with 2 kids. If we file taxes seperately, can his exwife come after my income for child support or back child support? My fiance already has it in place that he pays child support and back child support bi-weekly. Also, could she come back to take my money for the kids college? Does anyoen know if state of IL honors a "family income"?

Why are there arrears? If there is a legitimate reason, such as unemployment, the obligor can still file for a reduction in them. Most Child Support obligors do not know there is free help from the state, by federal law, to obtain a modification. At the minimum, a motion should be filed to have any interest penalties set aside, which can double or triple the amount owed.
