does anyone know why celebrities give out their twitter?

celebrities never would give out their myspace or facebook but they r open to give their twitter why? i remenber watching tyra show like 2yr ago & she said she didnt want stockers on mypace but now shes on twitter telling her every move

I dunno you know, probably because they want loads of followers on Twitter and the only way to get loads is to advertise your Twitter and being famous.

I think its because a lot of celebs have friends that have one and twitter is one of the #1 social networks out there. Everybody wants to be in the "in-group" ! So why not? I have one &&+ its fun! =)

good point there bugged enough why would you want to give out your privacy but many stars now get payed to twitter. I saw a programme on tv where they can make 10 grand a tweet . Bascially advertising for a company with there name on it will get some people to try out the product it could be some as simple as... Hey i just came back from this great restaurant called >>>>>> and we had a blast the fish was great the ambiance and the drinks were superb ... etc.. that kind of thing to there own chat of a movie etc... it reaches the masses. But I wouldn't want that much information out to the public its hard enough with the papparazzi these days why add to it.
