Why does the number of friends on my facebook profile keep changing?

One minute there's 1700 friends, the next, 1694, and the next, 1705.....what gives? With that high of a number its impossible to tell if anyone is deleting me.

I get the same thing as well, but its not entirely coherent in terms of the coding on your profile. Since there are over 500,000 million people on facebook, its really hard to keep an accurate code of ones friends list over a period of time. It will take years to come up with an auto tracking code to keep pace with the amount of users on one's facebook page, since facebook is an ever growing social networking site. So the amount of friends you have is relative to the actual amount of people on facebook.

Don't worry about that. It's not your problem. It's Facebook problem. Wait for awhile, and the problem will be solved.
