Would he tell women that they were not allowed to text in public?

If it was modern day, none of them would have made up such mythical nonsense to keep themselves entertained.

1 Timothy 2:12
I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. |

No, they'd debate him. Much as we all do with each other on this site...

If it were the end of time, I wonder if God would not speak harsh judgment against everyone who is trying to justify the oppression of women with random cites to Bible passages.
If there is a God, I wonder if he will not forgive many people who blaspheme against God the Father and God the Son -- but not those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. And since I think the Holy Spirit is a spirit that is supposed to promote love & equality among all believers, I think people who try to promote "Biblical" sexism are probably committing blasphemy against that spirit. If I were God, accordingly, I would be tempted to condemn sexist male chauvinists to suffer from eternal damnation in Hell, where there is perpetual weeping & gnashing of teeth. That's just the opinion of an ordinary human being, though. -- agnostic |
