Where to file a divorce in seperate states?
Okay here is the story, me and my wife have decided to separate after about two years of marriage. I need to know where do I file a divorce I live in PA and she lives in Maine. We have been down this road once before but she didn't show up for the court date and the judge dismissed the case. Also I can't find her I have had the child support office try and find her and she moved and gave no address. I have tried her family and there is no luck there at all.

You can file in your state. However, if the child has not lived there for more than six months, any custody issues have to be filed in her state, though the possibility exist that you can also file it there, if she is moving around. As for your child support, you can request it be put on hold until she is located. These links will teach you how to prepare and how to hire an attorney.

File in the state where you reside. Notice will be sent to the last known address where she lived. When she fails to respond you should be granted a divorce, I don't understand the basis for the judge not granting the divorce in the first place. There's something else involved that isn't evident from your statement.

file the case where you have married, chances are more to you to stand within the PA attorneys in terms of her abandonment

sounds like she wants no responsibility at all. You can divorce them without finding her. see a lawyer to get it done right.
