How do I get notifications from Facebook sent to my cell phone?

I want to know how I get notifications such as wall posts, messages, friend requests, etc. from Facebook through text messages. Do you know how I would activate this? Thanks in advance.

Actually, if you want to interact with Facebook strictly through text messages, you need to register for Facebook text messages first:
http://www.facebook.com/mobile/?settings

Click that blue link in the middle-ish of the page that says "Register for Facebook Text Messages." You'll then get a pop-up that will ask you for your country and mobile service provider. Choose your country and provider from the drop-down menus. Eventually it will ask for your number and will send you a confirmation code that you'll need to type in online.
