well i think first give him a little room lol i mean even if hes ur friend dont talk to him all the time when you see him online talk to him like 3 times a week ish max. wait for him to talk to you dont over think it talk about baseball and whats going on at school homework what ever im sure you'll be fine!

Talk to him about things you enjoy. Ask him how he feels about certian topics, get a conversation going. You can't just ask questions if it cannot be extended. Don't talk too often, and don't talk too much when it seems he isn't interested in talking.
