What should I write to to my ex-Girlfriend?

I need some helpful advice on what i should write to my ex-girlfriend on facebook. I haven't seen for a few years and Im not sure if I added her as a friend if she will except me...

Im stuck for words any ideas??

just keep it simple say hey its been a long time how is everything going? if she doesnt accept you as a friend then move on if she still holds a grudge after all these years due to the break up then theres nothing you can really do but if she does dont bring up the relationship at all and if she does say that was all in the past that will make you sound mature just sound like a friend
