How come I can't get on Facebook because of that phone identity keep popping up?

Every time I log on that little confirm phone identity keep popping up but with my sister it doesn't pop up I am getting angry help me please .

It may not be popping up with her yet, but it will. They want you to enter your mobile phone number and then they text you a code. Once you enter the code, it will let you access your facebook. Some people don't have mobile phones or texting on their phone, so those people don't know what to do and even those that do have phones are really angry because there is no need to give Facebook our phone numbers. I've had my Facebook for over 4 years and all of a sudden I need to prove my identity using my phone number?? Yeeah I'm going to give my phone number to Facebook so they can sell it? I don't think so. Lots of people are emailing Facebook with complaints. I would wait this out. There is no way they can make everyone go out and buy a cell phone.
