The main problems parents usually have with facebook is that they don't feel it is safe. If you give them your login and password and tell them they can monitor it and you will only be friends with people that they know you are already friends with and approve of, plus you won't put up any inappropriate pictures or video then maybe they will let you. Good Luck!

well I somewhat agree with your parent's decision. Facebook is not the safest place to upload your information. And once you make an account, you cannot delete it. Only deactivating. But I suggest you tell your parents that over millions of people enjoy facebook and is a great way to stay interactive with your friends!

you can set your privacy settings so your practically invisible, you can keep in touch with old friends and relatives, when your sick and need homework info people who are your friends can tell you, you can play games, you don't have to use your real name, its fun, you can see what your friends are doing and you can message people and chat them and you can plan trips with your friends and stuff through facebook!! hope this helps! oh and you could say i just want to play this one game called ____! i promise i will only do that! then after a month or 3 weeks say can i do this now? if they say yes then wait a while longer and say can i do this also? thats how i was able to get a facebook and gradually start to be able to post stautses and comment on peoples posts and make pages!
