How do I unhide new friends notifications on Facebook?

I hid them before by clicking on the right of the notification on my wall and clicking hide all posts like this. I'm having trouble switching back and getting them to show now. Any help is appreciated.
Let me clarify. I'm trying to unhide the "so and so is now friends with so and so" notification so it reappears on my wall. There is no option for unhiding this by clicking the newsfeed button at the top left of the homepage.

1. From your home page, hover your mouse to the left of the left side News Feed menu.
2. Select Edit.
3. A list of people, apps, Pages, and groups you’ve hidden or unsubscribed from will appear in a pop-up box. Click the X next to each one you'd like to remove from this list.
4. Click Save.

Removing someone or something from your list of hidden stories means those stories can appear in your News Feed again.
