how do you erase your unwanted messages in your Facebook account?

I have messages from people that I don't want my girlfriend or family to see. How do I erase those messages?

There should be a delete button

There should be an x on the message where you are viewing all your messages. Hope this helps or you could go to the message and click on actions and click move to other there it wouldn't be part of your messages but other and you gf will never guess Hope this helps
