Is there a way to maintain friendship with someone on Facebook but hide all activity from them?

Basically I don't want to have to un-friend my mother but, I don't want her to see anything that I do/say.
Also, I know I can hide statuses but I can hide events I going to, comments, statuses I'm tagged in, or even likes?

Before you post a status below somewhere you will see it says friends etc.. Select that then select custom there you will see friends except, this means the person you are excluding will not see your post but your friends.. You can do the same with photos.

try adding her to your restricted list
