Due to rapid advances in technology and social networking, the concepts of privacy, liability, harassment and such are rapidly changing as well. It is hard, in a GLOBAL social network, to enforce LOCAL (ie, UK or US only) laws regarding privacy, gag orders or such. The law ALWAYS lags behind technological advances and this is no exception. But it should be a reminder that there is NO anonymity on the internet, really - and that we can (and should) be ultimately held responsible for anything and everything we post, including negative comments about certain politicians. Whether or not you have to worry about them depends on whether or not they were ultimately defensible and legal in the 'real' world or crossed the border into being libelous, harassing or otherwise illegal.
