How do you delete a facebook app?

I have had quite a load of trouble with a particularly pesky application on facebook lately, leaving spam messages every few hours. I want to get rid of it but all I can find using Google are instructions for the "old facebook". As of facebook's newest remodel, I can't find a way to remove any apps. How do I do that?

Click Account at the top then privacy settings. At the bottom left under Applications and Websites click edit your settings. Hope this helps
