My facebook text are coming through as weird symbols and gibberish?

I've got a Samsung Intensity II, and I have verizon wireless, and me, my sister, and my mother are signed up for facebook texts. but have recently been getting texts that are nothing but symbols and gibberish...anyone know how to stop this?? it's really annoying, is there a way I can contact facebook or something??

The most probable reason can be that your phone doesn't support the language in which the message has been sent. You should change your phone for a few days, and notice whether the text is displayed in the new phone or not.
If it doesn't work, then there may be something wrong in your Facebook profile settings. You must look up for the language set.
