Is it rude to reject a facebook friend request but friend them on another social network?

I like to keep a small number of quality friends on my facebook and when someone that I have met sends me a friend request is it inappropriate to tell them I would prefer to be Youtube friends with them?

I use facebook for friends that I really want to know and have a youtube account where I want to put aquaintances who want to stay in touch with me. Is this wrong? I am just not the type to have 300+ friends on facebook.

same here, i only have about 190 and these i ppl i actually know in person, dont wanna be accepting weirdos lol, no no its not rude. its ur page or account or whatever you choose who you want to accept and who you dont

No is not rude regerting some friends because if u don't know the person and letting the person having your data is at risk

i don't see the problem. i only have about 80 friends on Facebook and that's mostly family and a few close friends... i don't want to read that so and so who i haven't seen in 10 years has just eaten a sandwich :|

To the new users of facebook. It seems as if you can get blocked if you send maybe 10 requests in one day which is ridiculous! This is not fair at all! You can also get blocked if you keep replying to messages even though the person is a friend on your page!More people should know about this. How can new users of facebook reconnect when we get blocked for sending out no more that 10 requests in a day to people we actually know? You should try limiting your request which will of course take longer for you to reconnect. And once you get blocked all of your pending requests get canceled which means you have to send them out again without being blocked again!
