I don't know if you will think this is old-fashioned, but here's what happened to me. When I was in junior high school, a boy in one of my classes approached me. He invited me to lunch at his home. I got permission. His mother drove him to my house and picked me up. His mother made a lovely lunch and we a great time on their ranch. I don't see anything wrong with that for you. Ask your Mom first and then invite the girl. It's a good way to get better acquainted and it's not sneaky.
