If the kids are not able to feed/clothe/go to the bathroom on their, it's more acceptable. But a baby or a toddler, the parents should get off the damn computer and raise their child.

I update my status ALL THE TIME- but I'm at work, so it's acceptable right? My daughter is home all day with her father- and he NEVER gets on facebook- even when I ask him to come chat with me cause I'm bored :-(
My SIL updates her status 3 times an hour and is constantly on. She has 2 babies. I don't know how she find the time for facebook. I don't like her one bit- so I'm comfortable saying she neglects them. If I liked her- I would never think such a thing. Maybe she should stop making comments about my drinking! |

They care too much about what people think about them as mothers, and need constant self assurance that their kids mean a lot to them. In reality they are much too self centered and probably feed their kids Hot dogs and Mac 'n' Cheese, or buy McDonald's everyday. They are much too occupied with "playing" on the computer, or watching TV than doing house work or caring for children. They probably do not have a strong grip on reality, and are extremely lazy people. That is pretty much what I think about them in a nut shell.

Anyone who does that is annoying. Not just parents. I see where you are going with this but I don't think they are bad parents. It only takes a second to post an update and it's not like they need to be with their kid at every waking moment. You could post 200 updates all while the kid takes a nap. If the kid crying or waking up from a nap upsets you and makes you angry because you have to get of FB, then you have a serious problem.

oh no, i didnt know there was an acceptable number of times you could update your fb and still be considered a good parent. please tell me the right number so i dont go over!!
actually, i hardly ever update my status. fb is too public for my taste if someone wants to know if my son can wipe his butt yet they can call me and ask....i update the weather if there is an advisory lol. |
