How come my ex boyfriend is still on my top Facebook friend in the chat menu after 2 years?

You'd think blocking him from my feed plus 2 years of completely ignoring his profile and not chatting him might change that? Guess not. Facebook hates me. Is there any way to remove him from the friends that always show up at the top of the chat menu? A couple of years ago it caused me pain to see it. I don't care anymore, but I still wonder "wth is he doing there?" every time I open the chat bar.

It has a straight forward answer - facebook judge the chat list thing not by members but by the amount of the chat you do with the guy and shift the places of your places accordingly.

Seems like you have had huge chats with your ex.

beat that amount chatting with your new boyfriend and it will solve that.
