How do you use twitter to market a business? I am trying to figure out how people get thousand or even hudreds?

of people to follow them on twitter. I mean i would be happy with just 50. are there any videos. Most of them give you a hint, but usually the person on the video has a company for business twittering. Is their certain phrases to use. I know giving a promotion kinda work, but only after you have a bug following base. I want to figure out

B. what should i be putting on my twitter and how often
C., How to customize my twitter to my business

Twitter is not set up for promotion of "business" - get a web site first.

There are no shortcuts. Build a website with a good service, and *good content*, and everything will fall into place.

There are of course shady people you can hire, who will generate lots of followers for you. Mostly these followers are fake accounts, russian spam bots etc, and you will pay a hefty fee. And even with all those fake followers, still nobody is actually reading your tweets.

Grow your business organically and it will be solid and robust, instead of relying on the whims of social networking.
Twitter is not some magic machine where you can just pull a few stunts and suddenly end up with thousands of customers, although that doesn't stop thousands of people from trying, but if they stopped spamming and concentrated on building their business, they'd probably do a lot better.
