how to prevent your friends on facebook from seeing your friend list on facebook?

I have added my relatives and friends on facebook I want to prevent my relatives from seeing my friends and friends from seeing relatives.So I want to prevent these people from watching my friend list and Is there any way to appear offline to certain people on facebook.If you know answer to any of these questions please answer quickly

1. Hiding your friend list. Go to Account > Privacy Settings. Under Basic Directory Information, click View Settings. The fourth option down should be See my Friends List. click the drop down list and click custom. Set it to Only Me. You cannot block certain people from appearing in your friends list
, you can only hide your entire friends list from certain people (or from everyone).

2. To appear offline to people, go to Account > Edit Friends. Create a Friend List and add people to it that you do not want to appear online to. Then go to Chat, click the Friends List option in the top left corner and click the list you do not want to appear online to. Then click the green slider next to the list name in the online friends area to go offline to that list.
