How can I change my name on twitter?

I have a twitter account, I do not want to see anyone when someone type my name on twitter. I tried search my name & it appears on my account. Anybody know can help me on how to change it & disable to search me when someone type my name on twitter? Thanks

You can change it! Just go to settings and u must update your email address. The only thing is, it takes 24-48 hrs before it resets in the search. So wait a few days to see if it still shows, if not then just send a tweet to @twitter and they should respond. If you protect your status updates then no one can see what u said,ever.
